DURY DAVA

Dury Dava is a five-piece band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2016. Their original music spans across several genres, paying tribute to the raw grit of 60’s psychedelia and 70’s krautrock, fusing elements from the Greco-Turkish musical traditions such as odd rhythms and folk dances with a punk mentality. Dury Dava has released two full-length albums on greek independent label Inner Ear Records, out of Patras. Their self-titled debut was released as a double gatefold Vinyl, as well as CD and digital release, on the 10th of May 2019. Their second LP is entitled Deluxe and was released in Vinyl, CD, Cassette and digitally since the 29th of April 2022. They’re currently working on their third album.

The band has toured extensively within Greece and appeared in all sorts of venues, from the main spaces of Athens to festivals, to squats, to semi-improvised DIY shows out of a tour van in islands and unplugged jams in village squares. They have played alongside countless greek and foreign acts (La Femme, Motorpsycho, Minami Deutsch, Moodoid, Bazooka, Acid Baby Jesus, Noda & the Pappas, Lost Bodies, Whereswilder, Los Tre, AMKA, Johny Labelle, Μωρά στη φωτιά etc.) and have been a headline feature of the greek festival scene (Saristra, Parklife, Anaireseis, Frikaria, Indie Free, Encore, Music Escapades : In Orbit, Ziria etc.).
